Overview

Heaven can be visited on a gorgeous 500-hectare estate in the heart of the Camargue. Mas De Peint is an exceptionally well-preserved and maintained boutique hotel surrounded by breathtaking gardens and nature on an authentic Provencal ranch. Kept in the Bon family for generations, they manage Camargue bulls and horses while offering a piece of paradise to couples, families and events.

This pleasant 18th-century residence invites you to slow down and feel the rhythm of nature in exquisitely rustic elegance. The eight rooms and seven junior suites are tastefully decorated in Provencal character with all of the modern comforts of large beds, natural sunlight, luxurious private bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and air conditioning. Guests can also enjoy room and laundry service, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes and a minibar.

Mas De Peint provides traditional Camargue cuisine from their chef who creates dishes using sustainable products exclusively from the farm and region. Try bull meat from the farm, authentic Carmargue olive oil and fruits and vegetables from the estate’s garden. The restaurant is seasonal and mostly open for lunch and dinner. Choose to dine in the family-oriented dining room, nature-inspired terrace, or flowery pool area.

Since Mas De Peint is a ranch, you have the chance to go horseback riding over their 500 hectares of Camargue land, which is divided between rice paddies and pastures. Their white horses like to travel along with guests, even when you are close to the Camargue bulls. More involved cowboy experiences are offered for guests who are good riders. Non-riders can lounge by the beautiful outdoor pool and take strolls around the magnificent property.

You can discover more of the natural region by visiting the Vaccares pond, Beauduc, the Piemanson beach, Pont de Gau Bird park, the Palisade and the Camargue Museum. Arles, the city of art, history and antiques, is part of the UNESCO world heritage and boasts Roman monuments, including the Arles Amphitheatre. Visit the old stone villages and fairy landscapes of Les Alpilles. Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in Camargue has a rich history of Viking invasions and pirate raids.
